Q: HOW MUCH DISRUPTION WILL HAPPEN TO MY LAWN?
A: We use the most modern pipe laying equipment available for installation of lawn irrigation and sprinkler systems in and around Nashua NH. It's called a DitchWitch 255. It's a hydraulic four wheeled machine that pulls the pipe under the turf surface with the help of a vibratory blade. There is no trenching involved with the pipe laying. Typically when the pulling is complete, a small visible line will be apparent. At the end of the installation we tamp our lines and rake over them to help hide them. Within a couple of weeks of running your lawn irrigation system, these lines will disappear. However, each property is different in terms of what lies beneath the lawn surface. If the area is rocky, more disruption will occur, and at times, larger rocks will have to be removed leaving holes to be filled with dirt by the customer. We do our very best to make your property look as undisturbed as possible..
Q: HOW DEEP WILL THE PIPES BE?
A. The blade for the pipe puller is 10". On most jobs, the pipe is layed at a depth of 4-8" depending upon what the ground conditions are. If there are any really shallow pipes, you will be told what areas they are in so that you can be careful when doing any future work..

Q: WILL MY EXISTING LAWN BE TORN UP?
A.The disruption of the lawn area has a lot to do with the actual lawn itself. If the turf has a deep thick root structure, then the lawn area tends to go back together nicely. If the root structure is shallow or sporadic or if there are a lot of rocks, the lawn area will be disrupted more. However, the turf and areas affected will be raked and tamped down. When the sprinkler heads and valves are installed, the crew uses tarps to place the dirt and turf on, so that everything that comes out of the hole, goes back into the hole to make the job cleaner.
Q: SHOULD I TOUCH THE HEADS AND CONTROLLER OF MY LAWN IRRIGATION SYSTEM?
A. Absolutely! After the installation you will be taken on a tour of your system. We will explain how the heads work and how they can be adjusted, as well as how to program the controller. We encourage you to spend some time playing and getting to know your new lawn irrigation system. We want you to feel comfortable and confident about how to maximize your lawn sprinkler system use.
Q: IF I HAVE A PROBLEM OR QUESTION WHAT SHOULD I DO?
A. Call our office. The office will then ask you what the problem is. If it's a programming question or head adjustment question, they generally can answer it for you. If you have a material problem such as a lawn sprinkler head not turning, they will fill out a work order for our service techs and we can usually respond in about 24 hours to take care of the problem.

Q:WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE DO I HAVE TO DO TO MY LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM?
A. There are 2 steps in the annual care of your lawn irrigation system. First one being, the springtime startup. Anrik can perform this service for you each spring to check for problems, adjust head coverage and set the controller for springtime watering. All you have to do is call the office to get listed on our spring schedule. A must for all systems is the fall closing or winterizing. Each system has got to be done to prevent major damage to your system's outside components. All of our customers will receive a letter in the middle of September to notify you that we are preparing our winterizing routes. Unlike the spring start-up, it is not necessary for you to call. All of our customers are automatically placed on a list and the office will call you a couple of days in advance to let you know what day we will be there. There is a separate charge for the services.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THE EVENT OF EXTREME COLD?
A: First, call us early to schedule winterizing. In the event of extreme cold weather and your system has not been winterized yet, there are a couple of steps that you should take to prevent damage from freezing.
